What is the meaning of IELT?
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. This exam is conducted by the British Council and IDP. The IELTS exam is meant for non-native English speakers, to determine their level of proficiency in English Language. The result is graded in Band score which is between 0 -9.
What is the make-up of the IELTS exam?
The test consists of four parts which are Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading. Each of this section is graded between Band score 0 -9.
The band score a student gets in each of the sections is added up and divided by 4 to get the final band score.

How long does it take to prepare for the exam?
The IELTS exam requires adequate preparation for a successful result. So, we encourage students to prepare for a minimum of six weeks before taking the test.
How long does it take for the IELTS result to be available?
The Computer IELTS test takes 3 to 5 days to be available while the paper IELTS test takes 13 days to be released.
Where do I get the result? The result can be checked online or picked up from the administrator’s office.
